As a pastor, I try to keep the future of the church that I serve in mind all the time.

One of the reasons that I may speak frequently about young families and their need to discover the value of church is tied to the future of the church. If children are not introduced to the value of a loving and happy church that is focused on the message of Jesus Christ, will they be doing church when they’re adults? This is a question I often worry about.

And so I am celebrating this week’s Vacation Bible school at St. Paul’s! So many kids turned out to have fun in faith and go to Mars and beyond! So many volunteers stepped up to be leaders so the kids could get a feel of what God and Jesus Christ mean in their lives. I’m thankful to all of them and especially to the parents who made the decision to have their kids come to VBS.

Plus, I have to admit that this pastor had fun amidst the kids. Whether it was crazy hair day or mismatched day or PJ day it was fun to dance, sing and even roar with the kids.

This small church in West Deptford New Jersey welcomes families and children! Our new Sunday school year begins Sunday September the 12th!! We believe the children belong in worship in church with their parents and the believers who create the foundation of the church rather than sending them off to a corner. If you want to be part of a loving and welcoming church where kids are encouraged to take on roles please consider Saint Paul’s.

To Mars and Beyond!

One small step for the kids…one giant leap for God’s Kingdom!

Blast off with the first Vacation Bible School to land on Mars! Our VBS was IN PERSON August 8-12, 2021.

To Mars and Beyond helped the kids discover the wonders of God’s universe. They became Voyagers on a journey through space, exploring where God’s power can take them. Beginning in an outpost on Mars, they lifted off to distant planets on special missions to collect power sources. Along the way, they learned how God walked with heroes of the Bible, and that God is always with them, too.

Adding to the adventure were out-of-this-world fun, learning, and timeless Bible stories that inspire kids to give glory to God, who is able to do far beyond all that we could ask or imagine!

The theme verse was “Glory to God, who is able to do far beyond all that we could ask or imagine by his power at work within us.” —Ephesians 3:20, CEB
