What a great worship service on June 4 celebrating our children and Sunday School! We also celebrated Holy Communion.

Declan Hartnett was our acolyte and liturgist, and Zack Beidle led us in our call to worship and offertory prayer. We had Debbie Richman on the piano and Denise Hosier on the keyboard as our music team today. We sang an old favorite song “Jesus Loves Me” as our opening hymn with “Lord, Listen to Your Children Praying” as our song of praise. And our closing hymn for the month of June is one of my favorites, “Lord I Lift Your Name on High.”

Our kids sang a couple of songs, and we sang right along with them. Elaine Luoma, our SS superintendent, had the kids help her with her message. They had written out questions from some things that they learned in SS this year, and then asked us, the congregation, to answer the questions–a fun Bible trivia game. The congregation did good on the answers, and we got to pick a treat from the basket!

Elaine does a great job as our SS superintendent as does her staff of teachers which include Danielle Ferrara, Mary Ann Jones, Carla Branyan, Jackie Gullifer, and Elaine herself. Debbie Richman and Molly Coralluzzo make up the music team for SS. Sunday School takes a lot of planning, reading, and time, and we extend our thanks and appreciation to all.

Elaine also recognized Olivia Ferrara, who came to SS as a little girl and continues to help wherever she is needed. Olivia will be graduating from Kingsway HS soon and we extend our congratulations and thanks for being so faithful to St. Paul’s SS.

We had a great picnic after church complete with hot dogs, hamburgers, good food, and a bouncy house for the kids and Pastor Dave to enjoy! Many thanks to all for a wonderful service! We also couldn’t do it without Gary on FB, Bev and Norm on the computer, and Jim Clement ringing the bell. It takes a village.
