“Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind; discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2
Happy … YEAR church!
Yes, I know that the calendar changed, taking 2023 out of our system while adding 2024 to our daily connection, but truthfully as people of faith we are called to live with joy and faith in Christ regardless of the day, month, or year.
As the new year arrived, more than 20 members shared Holy Communion on New Year’s Day at noon. What better way to start 2024 than in church worshiping God and Christ? The service was streamed on Facebook, so you can still watch it and share in the sacrament to begin the New Year.
I do want to emphasize what I said on Sunday. With the number of COVID and RSV cases on the increase in New Jersey, along with other respiratory illnesses like I had, please feel free and comfortable in wearing a mask in church. We are not mandating them like the hospitals are, but if you choose to “mask” to protect yourself and others, please do so!
I look forward to seeing where God takes us in 2024!
Blessings,
Pastor Dave
