The Outreach Team wishes everyone a very happy Spring as we continue our mission work!
Offerings and Projects
- March
- Our first Sun. offering (Mar. 2) will benefit UMCOR Sunday, formerly One Great House of Sharing.
- On the third Sunday (Mar. 16) the offering is for Red Bird Mission.
- UMCOR, the United Methodist Committee on Relief, is there to help with disasters anywhere in the world.
- Red Bird Mission is an outreach to one of the poorest, if not THE poorest, counties in the country. Our missionaries travel to Kentucky one week each year to help the community by doing projects for the people.
- April
- Our first Sunday offering (Apr. 6) will go toward our Shared Ministries.
- On the third Sunday (Apr. 20) the offering is for our Easter offering.
- Shared Ministries are sent through our Conference to support global missions of the United Methodist church such as the World Service Fund, Black College Fund, Ministerial Education Fund, and Africa University.
