On Thursday May 1st, people across our whole nation will pause to pray together as part of a National Day of Prayer that President Lincoln started and Congress instituted into an annual event.
Here in Gloucester County, we will be gathering for an ecumenical prayer service at River Winds Community Center at 12 noon. We can come together as a community as neighbors who know the value of reaching out to the Creator through prayer.
This is not a political moment nor one for any specific theology. It is all about declaring a relationship with God that is alive through prayer.
Invite your friends. It should not be a long service.
