Dear Friends,
Thank you for a wonderful fall study! We all enjoyed Max’s book “Help is Here.” I think Max Lucado, Sheila Walsh, and Shannon Bream are like our best friends since we’ve read a few of their books!
We learned so much about the Holy Spirit with this book. I liked the way Max “broke down” the characteristics of the Holy Spirit into things we could all relate to, such as teacher, water, wind, etc.
I especially liked the last chapter with the Spirit as “breath.” Breath gives life. “Inhale what Jesus exhales.”
I appreciate your dedication to our Bible study. I know it’s sometimes hard to get the reading done but you all come prepared and ready to talk and I love that!
You are also devoted to praying for each other’s needs and requests. God blesses us as He hears our prayers and as the Holy Spirit “groans” for us.
I’ll miss our Wednesday mornings together but we’re at that time of year where the calendar gets filled very quickly. We will start again sometime in January.
We also enjoyed lunch at Ciconte’s today with our favorite waitress, Ava, who turns out to be Marion Burns’ friend’s granddaughter. Small world….
See you in church!
Patty
