Along with our nation. we paused to pray on Thursday, May 7, as part of a National Day of Prayer that President Lincoln started and Congress instituted into an annual event.
Here in Gloucester County, we gathered for an ecumenical prayer service at River Winds Community Center. We came together as a community and as neighbors who know the value of reaching out to the Creator through prayer.
This was not a political moment nor one for any specific theology. It is all about declaring a relationship with God that is alive through prayer.
Thanks to Pastor Dave for organizing it.
