In those days when the number of disciples was increasing the Grecian Jews among them complained against the Hebraic Jews because their widows were being overlooked. Acts 6:1
As far back as the days of the disciples we find that the twelve apostles were no longer able to take care of the daily needs of an ever-increasing body of new believers. So in order that no one was overlooked the twelve met and chose seven men who were full of the “Spirit and wisdom” to turn the responsibility over to them.
In that same spirit we have established the Visitation Team at St. Paul’s. The duties of our team are to visit the homebound and nursing homebound at the various residential nursing sites in our area as well as in-home visits on a regular basis. They will share the latest news of our church ministries as well as updates on friends and the events happening at church. They’ll receive prayer requests and offer prayer while visiting as well as extending our heartfelt love and concern for each of them. Pastor Dave looks forward to sharing the ministry of visitation with them as he continues to cover emergencies and hospital visits.
If you are interested in being part of our Visitation Team, please see Pastor Dave or email pastor@stpaulsthorofare.com. It is wonderful to welcome talented, caring Christians who are willing to step out and volunteer to do the Lord’s work in this ministry.
