The Annual Conference of the United Methodists of Greater New Jersey has concluded.
I am happy to confirm that our Bishop has reappointed me as the pastor of St. Paul’s UMC West Deptford!
St Paul’s in West Deptford illustrates every day what a church of Jesus Christ is meant to be. ALL are welcome into the sanctuary of our church equally with love! ALL are encouraged to take on leadership roles in the church as the human beings they are since ALL of us have been created as we are in God’s Holy Image! We worship God celebrating each person who joins us no matter where they are coming from!!
None of us know where our tomorrow’s will take us. There are no guarantees for the weeks ahead. But, when we live each day drawing close to God … Loving and caring for our neighbors and rejecting hate then we are living as Jesus has taught.
It is one of my life’s greatest honors and privileges to lead this diverse growing church. I am thankful that the powers of my greater church in New Jersey are allowing me to continue for the coming days ahead.
To my friends who have felt unwelcome in a building identified as a church allegedly representing Jesus Christ please know you will be welcomed with love at St Paul’s! Give us a try!
