As announced in the last newsletter, we are collecting plastic bags to recycle into a bench. We were helping St. Andrew’s of Cherry Hill collect 1,000 pound of bags for recycling into a bench in memory of Bernadette Exley, who passed last October.
We’re thrilled to announce that Bernadette’s Bench has reached the 1,000-lb goal! So now it’s our turn!
Keep collecting plastic bags and wraps and place them in our collection boxes in the side foyer. Many thanks to Norm Branyan, who has been taking care of this collection for us!
Accepted are bubble wrap, grocery bags, case overwrap, dry cleaning bags, newspaper sleeves, produce bags and similar.
NOT accepted: hard plastic, frozen food bags, candy bar wrappers, chip/snack bags, pre-washed salad mix bags, etc. See below for more details.
