Keep Collecting Plastic Bags!
Saint Andrews UMC of Cherry Hill would like to thank all those from St. Paul’s who contributed plastic to make a beautiful bench in memory of Bernadette Exley. It has been completed and her plaque is signed “love and light,” which is how she always signed all her correspondence.
They will now be helping us to save plastic to get our bench. We already have 400 pounds toward the thousand that we need. We have already dropped off 44 bags totaling 390 pounds. Of that total, about 12 of the bags came from St. Andrew’s. The average weight is about 8.9 lbs. per bag with the lightest bag being 2 lbs. and the heaviest bag being 19 lbs.
Don’t forget to keep bringing in those plastic bags for recycling! Thanks very much to Norm & Carla Branyan, who are spearheading this project for St. Paul’s. And thanks to Norm & Dave Fish for schlepping big bags of plastics for recycling!
