Today we are fortunate to live in an era when everything is ONLINE … just watch folks walking down the street and you will see so many of them focused not on what’s ahead of them but what’s on their phones in front of them.
St. Paul’s has been active online for many years with our website (since 2003!), our Facebook page, e-mails, and our Instagram page. We believe that it is important to access information about our church as easily as possible, and frankly the old-fashioned system of waiting for the mailman to deliver an update is really outdated.
Our presence online also gives you the opportunity to easily share your love of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church with your friends and family. Facebook and Instagram have “buttons” to click on that let you share every single post we make with your online friends. We certainly hope that you are sharing regularly because this is a way to get more people interested in our church.
We actually are streaming live on FACEBOOK seven days a week. On Sunday it is our worship service and then Monday through Saturday at 9:30 in the morning I try to give you something to smile about with PD@930. On Fridays I share a recipe and on Saturdays a series of jokes that make up our Saturday Morning Funnies.
The next time you are “online” be sure to check out our webpage, www.stpaulsalive.org, and our FACEBOOK page. Once you have looked at them then share them with the folks you know. Yes, there are many days when I wish we weren’t all “online,” but being online has allowed people around the world to worship with us. That’s a pretty awesome benefit!
