As some of you know,  the Christmas Moravian star that shines so brightly in our sanctuary every Christmas Eve burnt through and broke after almost  50 years.

Carla and Norm took a day trip out to Lititz, Pennsylvania to the Moravian store to shop for a new star. There were so many choices!

The history of the Moravian star: “The Star Itself symbolizes Jesus Christ, who was born to be the light of the world. The many points reach out to every part of the world. Moravians as a  predominantly mission oriented group relate to this focus.”

After some discussion, it was decided that we would purchase a larger star to adorn our Sanctuary. Here we have our NEW 30-inch Moravian star that will shine brightly this Christmas.

Thank you,.
