May will be a remarkably busy month for the Community Relations Team. Sunday, May 2nd was SOUP SUNDAY. This month the featured soup was vegetable. We made over $200 for our treasury.
Sunday, May 23rd is PENTECOST, the birthday of the Christian Church. We are selling red PENTECOST HATS, one size fits all (adjustable) for $15.00. Orders must be placed by May 9th. PD has told us the Philadelphia Phillies will be wearing the same Pentecost hats that afternoon at Citizens Bank Park when they play the Boston Red Sox.
May 23rd is also the date of our first CHICKEN BARBEQUE. The chicken is being prepared by Rode’s in Swedesboro. For $12.00 you get a half of a chicken, baked beans, corn, homemade Cole slaw, roll & butter, and desert. Dinners at the door will be $13.00 but we cannot guarantee we will not be sold out. Best to buy your tickets in advance. Call Sharon Rutter at 856-848-5021 or Mary Ann has tickets for you to get at church on Sunday mornings. We are looking for volunteers to help prepare & package the dinners for takeout. If you can help, please call Sharon Rutter.
Our sale of SHOPRITE CARDS continues. St. Paul’s earns 5% of your purchase but you buy your groceries at face value. If you shop at ShopRite, please do it with ShopRite gift cards. Call Mary Ann at 856-905-7682. She will deliver them to your home. How convenient is that?
June 6th is our next SOUP SUNDAY sale. We will serve beef barley.
We have a lot to look forward to, make your own cannoli kits, a second chicken barbeque this fall, pies for Thanksgiving, gift card purchases for the Holidays and a trip to Sight & Sound in 2022.
Thank you for your support. The money raised by the team is used to support the ministries of our church.
Blessings,
The CRT
