Our kids stepped right up at VBS, July 27-31! We experienced “Everywhere Fun Fair,” a carnival full of Bible lessons, games, crafts, snacks, and most of all, FUN! We had a total of 71 children registered, age 3 through teens, and a wonderful volunteer team of 27 adults! Thanks to everyone that participated.

Earlier this summer I enjoyed an incredible meal at a place called Southern Junction. Their “Twinkies” are one of the best food items I have ever eaten! I can’t even begin to tell you how absolutely delicious they are and no, they are not related to those “Twinkies” we ate as kids. The only reason…

Today we are fortunate to live in an era when everything is ONLINE … just watch folks walking down the street and you will see so many of them focused not on what’s ahead of them but what’s on their phones in front of them. St. Paul’s has been active online for many years with…

Keep Collecting Plastic Bags! Saint Andrews UMC of Cherry Hill would like to thank all those from St. Paul’s who contributed plastic to make a beautiful bench in memory of Bernadette Exley. It has been completed and her plaque is signed “love and light,” which is how she always signed all her correspondence. They will…

Zephaniah 3:17… “The Lord your God will quiet you by His love, He will exalt over you with loud singing.” In May I celebrated a new decade … friends and family were confused by the number that was being discussed on that day, since everyone knows that I am 31 years old. What a celebration!…

Some people say “flutist.” Others say “flautist.” I just say “flute player.” That’s what I was. Henry Mancini And friends and members of St. Paul’s, we just say WONDERFUL, AWESOME, BEAUTIFUL, and FREE about the concerts of the Gloucester County Flute Ensemble at St. Paul’s!! On Sunday, June 8, we celebrated Children’s Day during worship service. Dave Fish, dressed in a red plastic rain poncho (straight from a recent trip to Niagara Falls!) and his “hair hat”, talked to the kids about how we are all different, but God loves us the same. He illustrated that by showing the kids…

June 8 was a celebration of Pentecost in worship and we celebrated with lots of joy! Lots of “Pentecost” hats and shirts in the congregation today! Lynne Hoffman was our greeter. Declan Hartnett served as an acolyte and our liturgist. Congratulations to Declan on his Scripture reading-he had a lot of hard words to pronounce…

“Remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other, I am God and there is none like me.” Isaiah 46:9 I think if we are of a certain age, most of us can belt out Barbra Streisand’s classic, ‘The Way We Were,’ when we sing in the shower or…

As announced in the last newsletter, we are collecting plastic bags to recycle into a bench. We were helping St. Andrew’s of Cherry Hill collect 1,000 pound of bags for recycling into a bench in memory of Bernadette Exley, who passed last October. We’re thrilled to announce that Bernadette’s Bench has reached the 1,000-lb goal!…

Vacation Bible School will celebrate a festive “Everywhere Fun Fair” with our kids July 27-31. Pastor Dave thinks we can bring 100 kids to Jesus, and we will certainly give it our best shot! With that number of anticipated children in attendance, that means we need volunteers to prepare for the kids, teach the kids,…
